2025 Ford Maverick
The 2025 Ford Maverick is a compact truck that combines the qualities of the Ranger and F-150 in a smaller format. It still boasts the work capabilities for which Ford is renowned, including a hybrid powertrain, a practical and versatile gearbox, and an interior that emphasizes both comfort and technology. All this, plus changes for the new year make the truck more efficient and more enjoyable than ever.
Efficient powertrain
The base version of the 2025 Ford Maverick is powered by a 250 hp, 4-cylinder 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine. An 8-speed automatic transmission transmits this power to the wheels. For those concerned with fuel economy, this truck also offers a hybrid version featuring a 191-hp 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. This year, all-wheel drive is available on all versions, even hybrids, the latter still being offered in front-wheel drive.
Two functions
To offer even more, the new 2025 Maverick is now available in several versions. The XL, XLT and LARIAT are among the most standard, offering a long list of standard equipment. Off-road enthusiasts will opt for the Maverick Tremor, which boasts a slightly higher ground clearance, thanks to specially adapted suspension and other off-road features. Performance enthusiasts will prefer the new Lobo version, inspired by the past. Here, the emphasis is on dynamism, with a lowered truck, track-calibrated shocks, more precise steering and more aggressive brakes.
Practical
You can't think of the 2025 Ford Maverick without mentioning its versatility and work capacity. Its 4.5-foot-long box can be modulated thanks to the FLEXBED concept, a layout that allows the box configuration to be modified with external modules to make it more practical. In particular a well-designed tailgate with an adaptive opening can be opened at an angle, facilitating larger loads. It can carry up to 1,500 lbs of cargo weight, or tow up to 4,000 lbs when properly equipped.
Cutting-edge technology
The 2025 Ford Maverick has been enhanced by the introduction of a 13.2-inch central screen, which now includes the latest-generation SYNC 4 multifunction system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are now standard. This addition means it can count on more efficient voice commands. A B&O audio system takes care of the music in the cabin, which has been redesigned with new materials and simpler ergonomics. The 2025 Maverick also features connectivity with FordPass, and numerous driving aids thanks to the Co-Pilot Assist package.
