2024 Ford Transit

Two versions

Designed to suit a variety of applications, the 2024 Ford Transit is available in two main models: the XL and the XLT. The XL model, true to Ford tradition, focuses on the essentials, with a spacious, functional interior ideal for transporting goods, but also offers a passenger version. The XLT model, on the other hand, focuses more on passenger comfort, with ergonomic seats and a well-appointed interior. When properly equipped, it can accommodate up to 15 passengers.

A workhorse

The 2024 Transit impresses with its loading and towing capacities. With up to 487 cubic feet of cargo space, there's plenty of room for bulky equipment or large quantities of goods. What's more, thanks to its optional towing preparation package, this robust van can tow up to 907 kg (2,000 lb), without compromising its roadholding. The choice of configuration is also much wider, as the vehicle offers short, medium or long wheelbases, and different roof heights, enabling customized interior layouts.

An efficient engine

Under the hood, the 2024 Transit doesn't disappoint either. It offers two engine options: a 3.5-litre V6 producing 275 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque and a 3.5-litre EcoBoost producing an impressive 310 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission, these engines offer surprising fuel efficiency. The 2024 Ford Transit offers the option of intelligent all-wheel drive for improved grip on slippery or uneven surfaces.

Safety for all

Safety has not been overlooked in the design of the 2024 Transit either. This vehicle incorporates Ford's exclusive Safety Canopy system, which includes side and curtain airbags, offering maximum protection to occupants in the event of a side impact. In addition, advanced features such as Emergency Brake Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring give drivers extra peace of mind on the road. The central display adds SYNC 4 infotainment, and integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, for added convenience.
